Introduction and application of 1150mm and 1000mm hoses for bulldozers and excavators 1、 Basic introduction of hoses The hoses (also known as hydraulic hoses) of construction machinery equipment such as bulldozers and excavators are key components of hydraulic systems, mainly used to transport hydraulic oil, coolant and other media, connect core components such as hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and valve groups of equipment, and achieve power transmission and action control. 1150mm and 1000mm refer to the effective length of the hose (the length of the flexible part between the two ends of the joint), which belongs to the medium length size range and is suitable for connecting components with moderate distance in equipment.
This type of hose is usually composed of multiple layers of structure:
Inner layer: synthetic rubber or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) that is oil resistant and wear-resistant, ensuring the purity of the medium and no leakage;
Enhancement layer: a high-strength steel wire weaving or winding layer that bears the high pressure of the hydraulic system (usually withstanding 10-40MPa pressure), ensuring that the hose does not rupture or deform under high pressure;
Outer layer: A rubber layer with strong aging and weather resistance, which resists the erosion of external environments such as mud, oil, ultraviolet rays, and high and low temperatures, and extends its service life.
The core difference between 1000mm and 1150mm hoses
The difference between the two is mainly reflected in the applicable connection distance:
1000mm hose: suitable for connecting components in equipment with close spacing (within about 1 meter), such as short distance docking of small oil cylinders and control valves;
1150mm hose: suitable for connections with slightly farther component spacing (1-1.2 meters), such as the connection between the boom cylinder of a large bulldozer and the main hydraulic pipeline, or the long-distance transmission between the excavator swing motor and hydraulic pump.
In addition, the two can be matched according to equipment requirements in terms of pressure rating and interface type (such as British thread, metric flange), with the same core function and only length adaptation for different installation scenarios.
