Seals are the core components of key systems such as hydraulic and transmission systems in bulldozers, ensuring stable operation of the entire machine under complex working conditions by preventing fluid leakage and external pollutant intrusion. Its performance directly affects the reliability, energy consumption, and maintenance costs of the equipment, and is the basic guarantee for bulldozers to achieve "fault free operation". According to application scenarios and functional differences, bulldozer seals are mainly divided into two categories: static seals and dynamic seals, covering key parts such as hydraulic systems, engines, and transmission systems.
Application of seals
Choose the plan that suits you best.

Hydraulic system (core sealing scenario)
1. Hydraulic cylinder: The lifting and lowering of the bulldozer blade, the swinging of the outer arm, and the operation of the soil loosening device all rely on hydraulic cylinders, and their seals are the key to ensuring power transmission.
2. Between the piston and cylinder: Use a U-shaped ring or a combination of seals to prevent hydraulic oil from "leaking" (from the rodless chamber into the rodless chamber), otherwise it will cause the cylinder to move slowly and weakly.
Between the piston rod and cylinder head: The main seal prevents hydraulic oil from "leaking out" (polluting the environment and wasting oil), and the dust ring blocks mud and sand from entering the cylinder to avoid scratching the surface of the piston rod and seals.
Hydraulic pump and hydraulic motor: The rotational sealing of the pump shaft and motor shaft relies on skeleton oil seals or combination seals to prevent hydraulic oil leakage and prevent external dust from entering the internal precision mating surface (such as the gear meshing area of a gear pump).
3. Hydraulic pipeline joints: O-rings or combination gaskets are used at the connection parts between high-pressure rubber hoses and joints, as well as hard pipe flanges, to prevent oil leakage caused by pressure fluctuations.

Power transmission system
1. Transmission and torque converter: Rubber gaskets or sealant (auxiliary sealing) are used on the joint surface of the housing to prevent gear oil leakage; The rotating parts of the input shaft and output shaft are sealed with skeleton oil seals to prevent lubricating oil from entering the clutch or brake chamber (otherwise it may cause brake failure).
2. Drive axle: Skeleton oil seals are used at the shaft ends of the main reducer and wheel reducer to prevent gear oil from leaking into the tracks or tires, and to block mud and water from entering the interior of the axle housing (to prevent gear wear from worsening).

Engine and cooling system
1. Engine: The joint surface between the oil pan and the cylinder block is sealed with a metal edged gasket to prevent oil leakage; The skeleton oil seals at the front and rear ends of the crankshaft prevent oil from seeping into the timing gear chamber or the outside of the oil pan; The cylinder gasket (metal+asbestos/rubber composite material) between the cylinder head and the cylinder block seals the high-temperature and high-pressure gas, while preventing the coolant and oil from flowing into each other.
2. Cooling system: Rubber seals are used at the interfaces of the water tank, water pump, and thermostat to prevent coolant leakage (otherwise it may cause engine overheating), and it needs to be resistant to antifreeze corrosion.

Other parts
1. Cab: The sealing strips (rubber material) of doors and windows are used to isolate external dust, rain, and noise, improving the sealing of the driving environment.
2. Fuel tank: The sealing gasket of the fuel cap and the sealing glue at the welding point of the tank body prevent fuel leakage and moisture from entering.
